  Very weird nose on opening, with an odd combination of roses and smoked meat but a rustic pinot profile emerged with a little time. This isn't an elegant wine, but it is dense with fruit and retains a fair amount of structure, although the acidity outweighs the tannins a bit. The level of alcohol is probably the biggest problem with this wine, but it isn't too bad.

  Better than previous bottles, with much more intense aromatics and a pronounced pine tree note, with cedar and citrus. The regional signature is there in spades; spicy with deeply concentrated black cherries, a little plum, orange peels and, in general, a bigger fuller bodied pinot. More bold and ripe than classical, but this is a pretty delicious wine and a good value. The alcohol seems a little high, but not terrible. 90+ to 91.

  A little bit rustic and dense, leaning more towards the darker end of the fruit spectrum, but it still retains the regional character, with the spicy signature out front and center. There is a tartness and acidity that seems slightly out of balance, but it is still very drinkable. You very much get the feel that this was a pinot made by someone specializing in syrah. A solid, entry level pinot and in pinot-dollars it is pretty cheap ($25ish).

  Very well made Pinot! A little to sweet for me, especially after opening up. There is a ton of cola and cherries bursting right from the nose through the mid palate. The finish is medium with a great aftertaste.

  Nice wine. Medium bodied, begins with a bright SRH acidity that is strong at first but calms with air. Lovely cola on the nose, reveals barely ripe blue fruits with time and a silky finish. Takes time to open up, i'll decant my next bottle which I rarely do for pinots. Bright future for this producer.
