  Upon removing the foil, the cork showed some minor leakage. I was concerned because this bottle is outside of the recommended window, but after aerating and decanting for ~30 minutes, I was pleased to discover this to be a really lovely bottle of wine. It was slightly peppery yet smooth, and well developed. I'm glad I drank it, but didn't notice that it was past it's prime. Wish I had another!

  Opened up and decanted for about a half an hour. Very enjoyable for a merlot, Miles would be proud. Made me wish we had more than 1 bottle in our inventory. Originally got it from Gold Medal Wine Club.
