Tasted over 2 hrs -nearly semi-translucent med dark red -juicy mix of red and dark berries -med/med+ acidity gives great energy through to the finish, med weight and concentrated fruit is darker and more restricted on the palate with a bit of earthy minerality a licorice streak and a hint of brett, med/med- tannins -good quality wine though doesn't scream out Gevrey to me, on a good drinking plateau now

A delicious Gevrey Chambertin. It has reached drinking window; much better than last bottle tasted 2 years ago. Well structured. The cassis gives this dense burgundy just enough fruit. Paired with Cioppino; a surprising and delicious pairing.
