Garnet color with some browning along edges. Nose of leather, cherries, herbs and even some licorice. On the palate there are cherries, tobacco and herbs. Drinking very nicely right now. Decanted by server at Osteria Friulana restaurant in Munich.

May have waited a little too long to drink this last bottle (since two years ago). It seemed a little long in the tooth. Still, the tertiary flavors are really present now, including pipe tobacco, dried leather, soy sauce, vanilla almonds, and even some pepper notes. Dark cherries still dominate the palate. The frame is softening and the tannins are sweet and refined. Drink 2021-2023. Technical score: 91. Enjoyment score: 90.

Second bottle from case. Pnp with Pizza at home. Garnet, browning towards the rim. Soft and round with integrated tannins, luckily does not show the oxidative side of the first bottle. Short finish. Does not have the aromatics of a better Brunello (vintage) but nice food wine to drink in the next few years

First bottle from a case. Slow ox'ed for about 1h. Garnet with clear browning / turning Mahogany. Muted fruit but fairly oxidative. Hope this was an off bottle, and the rest of the case will not show like this. NR
