With Elmar and Darryl. Nice colour, but non-natural. The whisky had a sweet-scented nose of red and tropical fruits as well as plums. On the palate, the whisky showed nice fruit, some orange, hints of red fruit and plum, pepper, malt and caramel, with an interesting, persistent Em-eukal/Ricola aftertaste. This Dalmore Cigar Malt was less smooth and less complex than the 18yo. It certainly is a decent whisky, and I admit that I did not smoke a cigar, but taking into account Darryl’s and Elmar’s feedbacks (who actually smoked cigars) it remained a mystery to me why one would choose the Cigar Malt over the 18yo; with our without a cigar.
