Popped and poured on a Saturday night, then finished up the next night. Very fruit forward and easy to drink. Has some dark fruit, yet isn't overpowering with some jammy taste. Aroma is blackberry and cocoa. The cocoa lingers on the finish. Has a decent kick of acidity on the palate - it'd be nice to let this die down some, which may happen in a year or two.

Ripe red fruit on the palate, the mouth feel is silky and plush, the fruit remains intense and vibrant. A picture of finesse and harmony. One of our top wines from the 2009 vintage. Consider drinking this deftly balanced wine as a stand-alone red or pair it with tender refined cuts of beef.
