Tasted blind, this wine had a medium red center and oranging rims. The medium intensity nose put forth oxidized maraschino cherries, road tar, and soil.
In the mouth, this wine was medium bodied with nice richness and good length. The wine seemed to be fading and was a bit short.
I am not sure if this is a representative bottle or not. However, it was not a particularly impressive showing.

Base neck fill. Cork half soaked, came out in one piece. Pale reddish-orange.
Lively and interesting nose smells somewhat oxidized, but in a really graceful way -- raisins, orange peel, dark dried fruit, soy, something not quite minty. Palate has high, forward acidity, no perceptible tannins, some fruit, and a surprisingly thick, long finish.
Wearing its age on its sleeve, but not a disappointment.

Drink up. Still some acid but the fruit was a cloudy brick mess.

San Francisco MONSTER Offline - 31 Notes, Pictures & Review of the Evening: Powerful gripping. Mouth drying. Bigger in style than the regular 63 and 70 Inglenook estate. This cask was clean and healthy. Typical notes of aged Cali. Cab.
