  • Opened for salmon on a week night. Nice red cherry fruit with medium tannins and enough sous bois notes going on the mid palate to identify as Burgundy as opposed to new world. Medium finish. Still has a lot of life left. If a sommelier suggested this I would be happy.

  • This is drinking beautifully at the moment. Drank it a week ago and didn't take any notes, but as I recall it the wine had a really nice dark (but bright, does that make any sense?) fruit profile with some spicy complexity. Long and harmonious. As good on day two.

  • A bit closed at first, with clean red berries on the nose. After a few hours the wine developed into something more rustic and interesting with herbs and a whiff of leather and stables. I liked it a lot, although it is not a very complex or long wine.

  • The nose of this wine was the most interesting progression I've had in a while. First caught a sent of lavender and mint but as it began to breath it became a bitter coffee finally it developed into a sister of a sour Belgian beer-- la folie from New Belgium brewery. I don't like coffee but don't mind the sour beers. This bottle may have been corked, but I doubt it.. Let it breath and approach with an open mind. Very interesting.
