This is a stellar wine in a beautiful drinking window. started sipping after a 30 minute decant and enjoyed over two hours. Beautiful integration between primary and secondary notes with the increasing presence of tertiary notes. The tannins are still prominent but after 30 minutes, had mellowed enough that they seamlessly carried the flavors throughout a long taste profile. Dark fruits, cedar, loam, violet, spices, tobacco with nice minerality on the end of the taste profile. I love Seavey wines at the 20 year mark. I hope I can behave long enough to keep the remaining bottles untouched in the cellar...

This wine is in it's peak window. The secondary and tertiary notes meld beautifully, while the primary fruit provides a foundation without taking front stage. I foresee this wine staying in this window for only another 3-5 years (just a gut call on this one). I do not know if it has the energy to evolve past that time window.

Purchased from the winery a month or too ago and shared with friends this evening. Opened and decanted for 6 hours before consumption. Absolutely stunning bottle of wine from first drop to last. I thought the nose was a little muted, but the flavor and balance were a joy. Great combination of power and elegance. Everyone throughly enjoy this classy well made wine that went well with Ribeye steaks. Continue to cellar or try one if you have them.

This wine is in such a beautiful drinking window now. If you close your eyes and sip, you will think that you are drinking a top Bordeaux, as opposed to a cabernet sauvignon from Napa. Jim Duane and Philippe Melka knocked this one out of the park!!

This wine was like a finely aged Bordeaux! Upon opening, filtering into a decanter and a small pour to test, I was struck by strong mushroom and loam aromas with some lingering cedar notes. 30 minutes later, the aroma still had the mushroom and loam. The taste carried those notes with burnt cherry, and tobacco box. 30 minutes later the taste of mushrooms and loam were no longer there. Dark fruit and cherries, followed by cigar box and spice box carried through with a very long taste profile. Drank over three hours and the taste profile continued to harmonize together, kept together with smooth tannins. OH SO GOOD!
