This is a value-priced bordeaux blend that really delivers. Mix of red & dark fruits, silky medium tannins, medium bodied. Pairs well with lighter fare. It's not terribly sophisticated or complex, but still quite enjoyable.

Soft and slightly recessed blue/black fruits with moderate tannins and medium finish, some earthiness to it as well, could be better integrated though... Leans slightly towards an old world style? Definitely enjoyable though and fairly easy drinking if you like cab or Bordeaux blend.

Decant 1/2 hr, drank over 2 hrs. As previous taster noted, quite oaky, very rustic, concentrated, plenty of rich dark fruit, somewhat disjointed, some tannins, possibly better with a couple more years laying down!

Lot of oak on the nose. This wine was quite oaky with fruit taking the beck seat. Had it opened for about an hour and by the time we finished the bottle it was still opening up. Good wine overall.

Part of dinner at Chinook Tavern in Englewood, Co. Decanted. Rounder and softer than the 2007 we started with. Others at the table liked its softness compared to 2007, but I thought it lacked the definition in the mid-palate phase. Still great with my veal chop, though.
