Compared to the Clone 809: The latter has somewhat more flowery bouquet than standard blend [this one], with a little more acid and oak showing through. Both the Clone 809 and the standard had barrel fermentation with stirred lees, then 17 months in a combination of new and neutral oak. The standard was blended to mute the acidity a bit, successfully, resulting in a bit of lemon chiffon in the standard, versus a slightly less aggressive attack than the Clone 809. Both are fine examples of chardonnays worth sipping on their own, no food needed.

Clean, dry, slightly fruity. Oak hints in the nose. Still drinking very well, an excellent white.
