Giant Wine Sale & Tasting 8/11/2012 (Cellar on Greene, Columbia, SC): I tasted the 2007 rendition of this wine many times as it is was quite popular on the by the glass list at more than one of my favorite wine bars. I was always suspicious of a certain 2 capital letter word wine flaw. Until maybe 3 years ago, I was always indifferent at best to blends of red grapes, at least in California, my mistake. So lets get our heart right, and give these credit for a very enticing 2009 "The Tillerman" This is a solid offering that seems to balance some up front California fruitiness, with integrated tannins, quality oak, and a complete rounded finish. Not big, but still brawny across the palate. Very nice tannins. Clean. Stylish. Enough said.
