Opened at 10am served at 7pm and this was bursting from the glass with spiced apple pie/compote, honey, white flowers, and apricots on the nose. Super long finish on the palate and well-integrated lingering acidity. These oxidative Jura wines are so good when the 'sherry'/nutty notes integrate and allow the fruit and spice to show in full.
If I could ask for one thing, it would be a bit more body - though likely given another ~10 years this wine could get there and be truly mind-blowing.
This is the second-best VJ/Chateau-Chalon I have had.

Intense, almost bracing acidity out if the bottle. Took about 30 minutest in a decanter to open up. intense flavors of orange rind, lemon curd, roasted walnuts and bright tropical notes. Incredible stuff....

Medium orange brown. Nuts, brown sugar, raisins, fenugreek on the sherried nose. Prominent acid with an underlayer of fig, a rusty note at the back, long finish. Thought provoking but difficult to like. 50 + 16 + 16 + 8.

This took hours and hours to open up. This was my first experience with this varietal and this particular wine. I was unsure of what to expect. This was a Garagiste purchase for far too much money for what it is. Although hard to price a wine of this age and provenance. That said, it was an interesting experience and the palate stood out the most incredibly velvety and rich
