Pale gold/straw color with a reflective edge. The nose shows beeswax, jasmin, apples and pear. The palate is medium-bodied, steely, bright with acidity, and intensely flavored. Green apple, poached pear, pineapple form the core of a persistently mineral-laced texture and long-finishing drink with hints of limestone and vanilla. Drink now until 2020.

A good, basic, solid Chardonnay from Chateau St. Michelle. Nothing fancy about this wine. It's well balanced, not too oaky. It's not a wine to keep around very long. I recommend drinking it fairly soon after buying.

Some oak on nose, soft with a lot of spicy fruit and a long smooth finish
