  • Ruby, medium legs; legs more pronounced on Days 4 & 5 than earlies. Aroma is dark-fruit predominant: blackberry, black currant (cassis), raspberry. Less noticeable are medium toast, oak, vanilla and soy sauce. Just a hint of coffee. Flavors are similar. Medium body, medium finish, low to medium acidity, narrow texture. Overall impression: pleasant enough, but lacking spice and vegetal notes usually experienced with a good Cab Sauv. At $26, QPR substantially below average. The wine is 8 years old, and may be past its prime. Or, just a so-so effort. Drink now.
