  After a disappointing Donnhoff Kabinett the previous evening this was a reaffirmation, as if one were needed, of how wonderful German Riesling is. Mouth tingling acidity, a myriad of pure fruit flavours and some savoury, mineral elements to give it some complexity even at this early stage. The minerality also means that the fruit, concentrated as it is, is delivered with real restraint and elegance - such is the marvel of great wine. Drinking well already but with years of improvement to come. Hope I can display some uncharacteristic patience and hold off on my remaining bottles. This first bottle lasted a full week in my cellar.
