This bottle acquired from Sams back in the day when it was buzzing with regular high-class tastings and had a sense of community. It has kept well: the color a nice straw gold with just a hint of green; the aroma has some delightful floral oaky quality; on the palate balanced, with delicacy yet concentration of flavors: citrus, mineral and abundant oak (too much for some?) and vanillin. I thought it evoked images of Meursault, but at a far better price. Good wine.

Medium body Chardonnay, great balance of acidity, fruit, and oak. Nose was a standard melon but the taste was great and had a lingering finish. Not sure how others can say it was over oaked especially compared to a Cali Chard.

Yellowish-straw colour. The oak has now become the dominant force. A medium-bodied, light-footed, cool-climate, elegant style is what is being aimed at, and, despite the 14.5% alcohol, this is, to a large extent, achieved. However, there is too much oak and the fruit is somewhat straightforward. Doesn't taste integrated, with the oak here and the fruit there. While not tasting in any sense stale, I was asking myself if this wine was starting to fall apart. I was struggling with this bottle. A shame, because I had a very good one in January 2007. This bottle was ordinary, I'm afraid.

Delivers very pure notes of passion fruit, citrus, and minerals on a long, fresh finish. Drank from 375mL.
