Community Tasting Notes (1)

  • Cork, 7% alc. AP12.

Started off quite reductive. A distinct nose of pear, ginger beer, green tea, weeds, and Gooseberry bush. A top note of some bright red berries.

Medium to full in the mouth, it initially comes across as blocky and sweet, but the acid sweeps in and cleans up the palate. The fruit and acid seem disjointed to the point where you question whether acid was added/corrected. The tea flavour carries over onto the palate. Needs some coaxing to open up.

Opinion: Nice wine. Could handle another 8–10 years easily. Subtle canned peach aroma persists.
