Community Tasting Notes (1) Avg Score: 90 points

  • Tasted blind. Clear, bright medium straw with a slight greenish hue. The nose is clean, medium (+) in intensity, with ripe apple, tart lemon, a slight green bean, vegetable element, some hay, earth, butter and vanilla, indicative of MLF and aging in large, old French Oak barrels. The palate is dry, with medium acidity and medium alcohol (13%). The palate is medium (+) in intensity, with medium (+) complexity and a slightly salty minerality to the medium (+) long finish. This wine evokes Old World, cool climate Chardonnay of above-average quality. I was very surprised to see that it's a 2009, since it appears much younger. It is drinking well now and would appear to have a long future ahead of it.
