Has not improved during the last 2 years, a too thin bouquet and feeling to get in mouth I think, without any complexity at all. Drink now. Do not buy again next time in Umbria.

An interesting expression of Sagrantino, and one I haven't encountered before: young vines, unblended, with a relatively short élevage exclusively in steel and cement. The result is a level of freshness, indeed brightness, rarely seen with Sagrantino. Sweet cherries, hints of prunes, and some wild herbs on the nose. The palate is sweet and smooth; only on the finish does one encounter the Sagrantino's tell-tale tannic bite. I'd buy this again. Rated 1 on a scale of -1 to 3.

Lots of interesting potential here, but I'd guess it's five years away -- seems to have the fruit and the acid to turn into something tasty. The grape tastes like Negroamaro to me (Puglia)

Pop and pour. Camphor on the nose; on the palate, cherry, red berries, red peppery tannins on the medium finish. Although some tannins show through in the middle, and much less on the finish, this doesn't have the savory herbal notes and powerful tannins that a classic Sagrantino offers; it feels like a lightweight compared to the standard version. This is well made wine, and it made a good match with lamb chops, but it doesn't stand out as anything special. Edit: This becomes a bit smoother overnight, but doesn't really improve. Fair to average value for the money; not a rebuy for me.

An ok wine but a bit too much tannin. Do not buy again - too expensive I think.
