The wine has medium acidity. It smells like prune, red currant, tobacco and cherry. The wine finishes medium. It tastes like red currant and cherry. The wine looks garnet colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. The wine has polished texture.

Dinner at Home: Deep ruby without bricking; nose of vanilla, strong oak influence, some black fruit; palate is full bodied, medium tannins, very approachable, great blackberry fruit; medium length finish. Very respectable california cabernet in a modern style. 89-90

Seemed acidic & unbalanced compared to earlier bottles. Maybe in a transitional phase. Although 7 hours after running through Vinturi into decanter the last glass woke up and showed some typical Artesa character.

Past its peak by a long way. Perhaps a storage issue?

Vanilla nose, soft tannins, lots of juicy berry flavors. Held well in glass and was perfect pairing for grilled meat.
