Very interesting wine. After the sulfur blew off, the nose is quite intoxicating. I could pick out tea leaves, mint, and red fruits. The tannins are drying and strong on the palate but dark fruits and black tea are peaking through.
Day Two: The second half of the bottle was recorked and left at room temperature overnight. At this stage, the nose is not quite as intriguing as it was yesterday (though still enjoyable) while the tannins have calmed down a bit on the palate allowing more of the fruit to show.

Great cool weather Pinot from NY's Niagara Escarpment. Jammy and floral with hints of leather.

Interesting find from an obscure vineyard. Pretty complex fruit.
