nose offers earth and.. stems. very rustic. med+ acid, med body. something about the flavor here does not appeal to me, which is especially strange considering i loved the '07. this reminds me much more of a chinon or bourgueil, especially in terms of flavor, than pinot. hmmm.

taste: medium bodied with medium+ acidity. A bit rough around the edges with some young tannins as well along with tones of earth, funk and dark red fruits.
overall: this does need some time to come together. A really nice cote de beaune rouge that should provide some real enjoyment at a lower price
