In a great spot, this wine is tasting extremely good right now !! The cork was perfect after a decade in the bottle. This is a balanced Rhone blend that I consumed over three days. Straw color with no oxidation, clarity excellent. Perfumed aromas of honeysuckle, peaches, pears, and almond. Rich flavors of honey, citrus, pear, and baking spice with a pleasant medium to long finish. Popped and poured, this wine really benefited from gentle oxygen since it was much more soft & integrated on day two and had not fallen apart on day three. Great fruit with firm acidity made into a very balanced Roussanne Marsanne blend from Saralee's Vineyard in the Russian River Valley appellation of Sonoma County. This white Rhone blend is an age worthy wine and has many more years of life remaining. Unfortunately, I have no more bottles remaining from this vintage. A great winemaking effort from Rod Berglund.

Second bottle within a couple of months - 55% or so Roussanne, 45% Marsanne. Tremendously poised and complex. Very very good and will be better. Old vines almost certainly as is usually the case with Swan wines. Tremendous.

Certainly past it - fruit lacking, oak tired. Dull.

Reviewed twice in the first half of 2014. Two years on I think this is now at or slightly past its peak. A great food wine, but drink up.

Approximately 50-50 blend of Roussanne and Marsanne, and a very accomplished one at that. Dry, long, and complex. Young and will last.
