A bit of bite, a bit of mellow candied fruit. Not bad but again, not what we are looking for when we open a Sancerre (or any sauv. blanc for that matter).

Crisp, lightly-oaked, dry wine with a hint of melon, grass and minerals. Less fruity and refreshing than New World sauv blanc, more complex palate but less fragrant nose. A light mouthfeel and short finish.

Quite complex. Honey, toast, asian pear, apple and watermelon candies, .... Plenty of flint but missing the raciness of our favorite Sancerres. Holds up well second day.

Drank this at a picnic. The bottle was not cool enough, and the wine seemed flabby.
