  • Popped and poured. As good as, if not better than, ever. My previous notes apply, but the flavors have blended nicely.

  • 1st of two bought at auction. Cork soaked halfway, decanted off decent amount of sediment. Needed 30 min to blow off a bit. Best at cellar temp, where it shows a nice balance of the ripe fruit, sweet tannins and enough acidity and background earthy notes. Mostly cherry, black cherry. In a great spot between late primary and early tertiary flavors. Drink now and over the next 5+ years.

  • Brought to a restaurant, decanted. An outstanding iteration of southern-ish Italian red, with rich Cab notes softened and sweetened by Merlot with a sufficiency of Aglianico to anchor it to Campania, imparting a licorice note that complements many foods: in this case guacamole and chips, followed by duck breast and grilled cod.

  • Ready for drinking. Still fruity and fresh with moderately rounded tannin. Drinking now or later are both fine.

  • More or less consistent with my bottle/note of three years ago "Very good; needs at least 45 minutes of aeration prior to service if you want a better showing. Firmly situated in a secondary phase, with good vitality of fruit, and plenty of fresh acidity. As always, the tannins are sweet, perfectly fine, and the finish is long. No doubt this will continue to evolve, though its early tertiary aspects are at least 3-5 years from this point. Very classy, elegant. 13,5% abv., natural cork." Though I would add that, as might be expected, the tertiary aspects are more noticeable now, though to be sure, not the only defining aspect. Now and the coming 5-7 years - at a high level. highly recommended
