Decanted for about two hours before tasting. It started with a little sharp fruit at the back end of the palate which I didn't like much. That quickly went away by the middle of the first glass and what remained was enjoyable. It lacks complexity and is more medium-bodied in the mouthfeel than bold, but does have a good nose and a decent finish. Good fruit and enough tannins to hold the structure and a finish that lasts for a few seconds. It won't blow you away, but it's not a bad effort at all.

I just heard that this winery was very recently sold, which explains the deep PA discount. Even given the $27 price, I had higher hopes for this wine. Muted dark berry fruit and a little earth, graphite and chapparel notes the first day, but very simple. Nothing bad, but nothing exciting either. I tried the last glass the second day, and I might have scored it a point higher, but I might have just been in a better mood.

Dark cherry and toasted cedar. Medium to full body. Drinking very well at this young age. Sweet gripping tannins.

Nothing bad but nothing good. Dusty tannins with a touch of ambigious fruit. No mid pallate, no finish.
