  • Somehow both linear and round, with limestone and white fruits. Very complete for a village Chablis, and comparatively full bodied on the nose and palate. This is a wine that shines because of very traditional elevage--old oak fermentation, old oak aging, no filtration--but the vines are still young (15 years according to Louis/Dressner). I took no tasting notes, but thoroughly enjoyed this wine. This is a producer to follow, as the vines will only get older and more complex. For now, this is a wine that drinks like a premier cru but is forward and accessible in its youth. Rich for a Chablis in the best possible way, not quite as nervous and prickly as a more conventional offering. A little bit pricey at $33 but not outrageously so.

  • Light body with a pear scent. Pairs well with lemon and acidic food. Crisp.
