  Lithe and supple, in a very good place.
  Lacks complexity and a longer finish, but the balance and pleasant match with food offset those short-comings.

  Fourth wine in a seven course wine and food pairing NYE party.
  This Rioja needed about 2 hours to deepen and blossom (tight and "cedary" upon opening and worried me if it was a goner). This had tons of life left. A very modern style as it was lush and dark with more body than normally encountered in a Rioja. Nice cedar and earthy notes.Really terrific and complimented chorizo stuffed mushrooms as hoped.

  Always better than I remember it. Tasting quite mature and elegant, strong vegetal, almost green notes on the nose accompanying a dark fruit core. Smooth on the palette, somewhat dusty and leathery, with signs of aging but ripe fruit. Really wonderful with bison hangar steaks.

  Ce vin n'est certes pas à son apogée, mais il est prêt à boire. Belle profondeur et belle longueur. Elle renferme tout ce qu'on attend d'un bon Rioja. Le prix est peut être un peu élevé pour l'expérience.
