Very bright in the nose and palate. I was prepared to dislike this, I did not especially care for Solitude Cotes du Rhone in the past (this one was a gift), but this was a pleasant surprise. Decent acidity, paired well with grilled chicken. Somewhat quiet nose, but a lot going on on the palate. Not sure it will age much, but it is drinking well now.

Got from Woodland Hills Wine Co and the cork was fully compromised and the capsule had a bunch of sticky residue inside. Still, it was one of the better bottles of the night! Gave it an 8.6.

Still feel this is a good QPR drinker, but was less impressed with this bottle than I apparently was a half-year ago. Again my predominant tasting note was cherry, but this time it came across as almost medicinal. Better after sitting out a little while. Will try another at some point to see where the average falls out.

Continues to get better and better. A disciplined well-structured torrent of fruit from lips to the back of the throat, where it lingers just short of 30-seconds. And that's on the 2nd day. Perhaps a bit shy on the nose - although the fault may lie with my ancient proboscis rather than the 'wine's. The 2011 Solitude CDR has not seen it's zenith yet.

No sign of its ageing out. Still as robust as ever, even on the 2nd night. Bought 8-more bottles while waiting for the 2012 vintage to make its appearance.
