The 2010 seemed the smoother of the two, with the 2011 being more fruity. The 2010's nose actually had some gamey notes, but did not seem like it was a flawed bottle, the 2010 really drank well.
These two were stored in a wine fridge.

Thouugh beyond it's drinking window per cellar tracker, I thought it was great. Finally lost the citric taste that I dislike of most pinots. The bad part is that it also losses definition. But that mellowness makes it hard to discern individual flavors.

No formal notes. Drank over 2 days. Day 1 was bright and lively and quite typical of a California Pinot Noir. Day 2 the wine just seemed to fall flat and almost die. It went from a 89 type wine to an 86-. For $30+ I think you can spend your money elsewhere.

(Gundlach Bundschu Pinot Noir Estate Vineyard) Dark ruby color; baked red fruit, oak nose; tart cherry, baking spice palate; needs 1-2 years to integrate; medium-plus finish

Low acidity but still drinkable (unlike their Zinfandel). 14.4% ABV.

Solid pinot noir. Black cherry on the nose. Tasted like blueberry with mushroom at the end of a long finish. Yum.
