Really lovely mature Riesling. Started mid gold and then went to deep gold. Plenty of rich lime (maybe pie), touch of apricot or pineapple. Some minerality. Rich but good acidity in the finish. Felt very soft and lush beside a Grosset though. Good length, lovely with the food.

A bit hard to read. At first quite austere and reserved, then opens a bit with citric acid, stoniness. Never quite reveals itself or show much fruit yet also with a certain odd ripeness. This was over 2 hrs in decanter.

Light gold. Initial whiff of honey, followed by another faint whiff - kerosene. Perhaps, maybe, dare I say it, a faint touch of flabbiness, of oxidisation? Is that possible? I just opened it, cork seemed completely sound.
On the palate, a light mouthfeel but high acidity giving a very long finish. Less fruit remaining than I'd expected, just a touch of candied lime. Hmm. I've had this twice before and in memory it was more intense. This is light and delicate and very refined, and clearly an excellent wine but not a wow this time. Maybe it is going through a dumb period. Or could it be - surprisingly, if so - too old?

Quite powerful bouquet of peaches, slight petrol and oriental spices. On the palate good acidity, lemon zest, minerality and some umami. It's really intense and has a long finish. I guess it will hold for a couple more years.
