  • Initially a talc powder and mineral nose, then something between peach and nectarine. A little spritzig, full peachy flavors with some bracing acids that balance the sweetness. Nice wine and good QPR. Would buy again.

  • This wine was coming together a little more but still lean. Grapefruit notes. Dry. 88-89 points.

  • This was poured last night by Terry Theise at a small tasting of 2004 Rieslings. When Terry opened this wine he had us drink it after a Donnhoff Spatlese because he remembered it as being sweeter than it turned out to be. This wine paled in comparison to the 2001 Strub Paterberg Spatlese*** that I had last Friday. German wine should be all about balance and this wine lacked that. It was high in acidity and tart. Notes of lime and a grassy element. A bit one dimensional but it might just be in an awkward stage. 87 points.
