Peaches in the nose and the mouth, acidity and minerality there. Straightforward, without nonsense and good for what it is, a wine that doesn't get in the way of the food.

This was part of a sub-$20 sampler case I ordered from Chambers St during their post-Sandy sale. Right off the bat, I was somewhat surprised to detect tropical white and citrus fruits, backed by chalky minerals on the nose. A tad riper on the attack than expected, with a slightly round feel, more chalky minerality and bright acidity on the mid-length finish. Enjoyable, but I was shocked at how ripe it was for a Cheverny. Global warming?

Full nose of a pleasant bouquet. Spotted berries and cherries. Smooth on tongue. Good finish
