The wine looks onion-skin colored. The legs are fast. There is light sediment in the bottle. It smells like strawberry jam and raisin. It tastes like plum. The body is light. The wine has silky texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has low acidity.

Was brought to a dinner party - a nice suprise this one. I would not have chosen a burgundy myself but a really interesting pinot noir. Good depth but still fruit forward and a bit more to it than pinots I have been drinking. Some spice gives it more depth than I would expect- also pours a deeper color than some of its North American counterparts. Bottle is 11.99 at total wine- would definitely look for this one again. Staff favorite at TW- they have good taste. Great find.

Solid for $11. And, ok, here comes my hillbilly side, it goes great with a port wine cheese ball and crackers. Ha. Some high nosers probably just wrote me off their list as a reviewer of wine, but hey, it DOES taste incredible with a cheese ball. We also had a nice Reypenaer, but the wine did nothing for that cheese.
Bonnie's and my barometer about wine is, Would you buy it again? I say Yes...if we're having a port wine cheese ball. Oh yeah, it has flavors too...cherries and sweetish fruit out of the bottle and turns minerally after fifteen minutes, then evens out and throws off a cranberry tone. If I made an $11 bottle of wine that tasted like this, my parents would think all their effort raising me would have been worth it!

Cherry and blueberry nose, taste of blueberry and pepper. An OK Pinot.
