  • 香气还是很好,虽然已经没有了年轻时候爆棚的活力,但是更显圆润优雅。黄桃罐头、椰丝蛋糕,带有很绵密的高级奶油感,中后段多太妃糖、咸柠檬和可可粉的味道,通体扎实集中又细长。入口酸度高企,线性地浸润酒中,蔓延和扩散开来,构成一个光滑的平面,中后段又像回音一样袅袅。果味经过打磨,整体感好,轻重相济,乌梅、咸柠檬、黄桃水果罐头和果脯之外,还有蛋糕、红木、咖啡粉末、太妃糖和雪茄盒的香味,沉稳平静,虽然去除了很多“肉”,但是“减法”之中又有很多新的领会,那种经过打磨之后的活力,有些渺远,但此刻近在眼前,令人安宁舒适。95/100

  • From a 375 with slight seepage. Dark gold in the glass. Tangerine, apple cider and almond in the mouth. Lilting, thin body, faded very quickly with limited acidity left over. Fun, but also gone.

  • From a virtually perfect bottle with a firm cork, this wine had a deep gold center and yellow/clear rims. The nose was muted and a touch funky at first. Was it mildly corked? It didn't seem that way and the nose did improve with air. However, something was a bit off. The nose improved with 2 hours of air. I got dried apricots, pear, honey, and minerals.

    In the mouth, this wine was stunning with ripe fruit, integrated acidity, and a long finish.

    This was an impressive wine with a bit of a funky nose. Drink up with a couple hours of air.

  • Dark gold but still relatively light in color considering the age. Perfectly in balance with little apparent sweetness given the still strong acidity, everything was where it should be with the exception of a bit of mustiness on the palate which prevented this from being a truly great bottle. Certainly not corked and it wasn't enough to ruin the wine but definitely a minor flaw. Drank alongside a 2003 spatlese from the same vineyard which was still very primary, a very interesting comparison and a tribute to the virtues of aging these wines. Worth a shot if you come across a bottle.

Rockss and Fruit

    (Zilliken Saarburger Rausch Auslese GK) This was just ok. It seemed kind of flat and lacking in verve. There was thick dense fruit but the acidity was just not there.
