Pure, simple pleasure again. Wines like this make me wonder why I ever spend more than $20 on a bottle. I enjoyed this as much as the vast majority of $30-$45 CdP's that I've had.

Holding up very well and getting quite savory and persistent. About an hour in the decanter made a big difference for the better. The tannins have softened just a little and the acidity is strong enough to work nicely with tonight's BBQ ribs.

Needed a good three hours or so of air before it really shined. Medium intensity aroma with lovely notes of cherry and plum, honeysuckle, tobacco, and grilled spices. On the palate, the fruit emerges from a dusty background to remind me of what coordinates of the globe we're dealing with here. Plush and generous flavors with such an elegant structure. Simple and beautiful. I can't recall anything New World that emulates this little gem. Blind, I put this in the $30-$40 range. 5+11+17+8= 91

This is drinking so much better now than last year. Lacks the extraction and intensity of its CNP neighbor but that just makes it all the better pairing with food. Still plenty of power and richness. Very good!

Really enjoyed this atypical Vacqueyras from a lighter vintage that accentuates lower ripeness, heat. More Burgundian in style and great food wine
