Day 1 cloudy, not like a normal Petite Sirah at all. Not as dark/inky. Looking unfiltered. More cherry/cranberry. 85 Days 3-7 much more what I had expected. Cleared up a lot! Drier, black ripe fruit coming through, some age/a little leather. 90+. A distinct and major change from day 1 to all others, and a good one at that. Overall 89 pts.

Lovely dark color; nose is a bit off-putting, some green, grassy notes I did not find attractive. On the palate, however, all is well. Lots of rich, dark fruit and a rich, appealing mouthfeel, with just enough spice to liven things up. Excellent varietal character. Long, clean finish. As Petite Sirah goes, this is definitely a cut above; none of the harsh tannins or heat one sometimes encounters. Rather elegant, in fact. If you have never tried a Petite Sirah, this would be a good place to start. Recommend.

Deep black cherry smell with pepper and South American smokiness. Brightly flavored and ends dry with nice legs down the glass.

A very nice PS and good QPR!
After giving about 60 minutes of air in the glass/bottle:
C: brilliant purple
N: Black plum, vanilla, hint of spice
P: Black and blue fruits, chocolate
F: medium
Restrained and balanced. Not OTT. Nice QPR at $13.
