A really interesting wine. I get strong green pepper as the dominant flavor. After that, a little chili pepper. The nose has a seasoned meat to it. It's a strange wine, but good in its own way.

A Long Wine Night (Various locations): Aromas of green leafiness and ripe black cherries. On the palate, medium acidity, plump but smooth tannins, full body, long finish. Flavours of herbaceous green leaves, black cherries and plums, and some tobacco notes. Good plush mouth-feel. Actually if I had tasted blind I would have thought this was a Cabernet Sauvignon-Merlot blend. I was thinking not bad, until the greenish herbaceousness became a bit meaner with more air. Overall, still a nice value wine at its price point.

Notes of coffee, chocolate and ripe berries. Some plums and spice towards the finish. This is a serious wine that resembles a good, young Bordeaux. In a blind tasting I would have mistaken this for a Merlot or a Malbec.
I like the balance and body of this wine.

Definitely a different aroma and taste with the green pepper / green chili notes.

Opened this wine after the Yunnan Red Wine.

Lots of chili pepper aromas. Bell pepper. Good balance on the palate, but lots of bell pepper here too.
