Spicy pungent at opening, alcohol fumes on the nose, with some pepperish fruit. Bitter upon opening, almost like radichio flavored wine, but this quickly subsides to some fruit, smoked meat and earthyness. Deep purple color, perhaps past its prime, yet changeable upon every sip for several hours. Interesting, not always easy to appreciate. Very smooth rounded tannin.

mostly simple and unremarkable. peppery varietal on the thin side, piney oak. bit of hot brown tobacco leaf to give some interest.

Not that impressive. Typical Aussie shiraz flavor. Very acidic finish. Was OK but nothing noteworthy.

Just ok, smoked meat nose, some berries but pepper type flavor, medium finish. Certainly not a fruit bomb.
