A beautiful, balanced Aussie Chardonnay. Delightful crystalline yellow lime green colour. Bouquet of lime and melons. Initial hint of mild mineral acid followed by rockmelon beautiful balanced with the barest hint ofnsmoothcoak vanilla. Long balanced finish. Great stuff

Nice aussie chardonnay. Quite rich without being really heavy. On the palate Apple, pear and grapefruit. Some tropical fruit aswell. Oak is pretty subtle for aussie chardonnay. Good wine. Definately has enough live in it to last at least 3 more years. Maybe more. I' ve seen people compare this to burgundy. I don't agree the richness betrays its new world origin. It is however not a typical new world chardonnay. This is more subdued. Although i think I don't see myself empty a bottle of this wine in one night. Still pretty enjoyable stuff.

Impressive. Tasted immediately following the Berry Brothers 2014 Burgundy en premieur tasting in Singapore. Had this wine been at the BBR tasting a) no one would have guessed it was not Burgundy and b) it might well have been WOTN (admittedly, BBR was not showing the full range of 14s and only a couple of GCs).
Beautiful creamy nose of light toast, hazlenuts, and apple fruit. Full, rich, and round on the palate with good balance. Not obviously excessive or over extracted, but this is a rich wine. If it had just a bit more acidity to give that rich fruit real cut it would move up from very good 1er cru to proper GC.
The oak is much better judged in the 2009 than in the 2008 version of this wine in which it is a bit excessive. Acidity is also better than in the 2008. Has a bit better depth and fruit than the 2007, but the 2007 has better acidity. Overall I prefer the 2009. I wonder what would happen if I blend the 07 and the 09...

Really complex but very well balanced and round at the same time. Slightly creamy, ripe yellow stone fruit, citrus fruit notes and minerality on the nose. On the palate fresh, pure fruit, quite linear and mineral, very good length. 90-92
