Honestly, I opened up this bottle when my wife asked for wine to be added to a recipe. I didn't expect much but was pleasantly surprised by fruit that have survived well for a wine of this price point. Oak, dark fruit, casise, tobacco. Consistent with it's age, there are some old world characteristics showing: forest floor, spice, earthiness. But not enough to be a detriment to the overall enjoyment. A moderate finish, but no bitterness.

Dark garnet color. Nose has a strong presence of oak, dark fruit. Similar palate with additional notes of cherry, tobacco, graphite. Moderate finish. Not sure this wine has much time left.

Superb, one of my favourite US made wines of recent years.. I have had around 15 bottles of this over the last 2 years, each equally impressive... I like that the wine has legs, depth and some dramatic thrown off sediment in the bottle (like my fave Aussie reds)... impressive nose in 2013 (up over previous ratings of 2010-12 etc).... great depth, some fine tannins that add to the integrity, very mild cassis flavor and some berry with cigar and smoky undertones, just a subtle overtone of cigar smoke which adds to the complexity, some bottle have a coffee tinge throw off involved as well

It's been 3 years since my last taste, and the wine has aged well. Nose of dark fruit, oak, spice. Slight brick on the edges. Palate shows casise, currant, hint of forest floor, cigar box. Tannins are present but relaxed. Mild finish.

Mild TCA dampened what could have been an excellent aged Washington wine. Had the right qualities to peak at 15-20 years.
