Portugal; 9/18/2016-9/25/2016 (Portugal): Color is fairly ruby for a tawny, aged 7 years; nose is limited in its aromatics; palate is full bodied, integrated medium tannin, moderate sweetness, medium acidity, some red fruit; medium finish. Palate>>nose. Decent overall. 86-87

Darker colour than 10 yr old tawny but still tawny. Muted nose, walnut and not a lot else. Flavours are decent, high acidity, red and blackberry fruit, chocolate, but not much complexity.

“Port”, Flight 1, Wine 3: The wine was medium to dark garnet in colour and offered ripe and dried fruit, prune, roasted nuts and mild balsamic notes on the medium-intense nose. On the palate the wine showed dried red fruit, raisins, prune, nuts and mild balsamic notes. It was full-bodied and medium-sweet to sweet, with medium-level acidity and tannin, some heat from the alcohol and average length of the slightly bitter finish.

Nice thick port, smell of plums, walnut taste. Drunk from the fridge as advised.

Just opened this bottle, which has been cellared for approximately 18 years. It's still alive! Quite pleasant, drinking well.
