Casual sip at B&B. Pop and poured. Appearance is clear, pale intensity, lemon colour. Legs. Nose is clean, medium intensity, with aromas of slight salty minerality, green apples. Developed. On the palate, dry, medium acidity, medium alcohol, medium- body. Medium- flavour intensity, with flavours of sour green apples, slight salty minerality, mild nut. Bordering on neutrality. Medium- finish. Not enough acidity, not enough flavour. Drink up. If you have even bothered to read this tasting note, please look elsewhere for better examples of Chablis.

A lot of Pinot Noirs (My backyard): This was one of those bottles that someone brought to our home a while back and it never got open. Good enough not to pitch, but it just sat. Seemed like a good time to open it. It was better than I expected. Smoky with nice lemon scents. Mineral driven with more green apples on the palate. Not real crisp, but not flabby. A nice wine.

Good balance, good quality for the price but not very complex. Minerality and citrus with a subtle nuttiness.

Bit green color; green notes, saline, slight oxy-raw nut aspect. Not a winner here, although other white Bichots showed very well.
