Note: I use a rating scale for which 85 represents a very good wine.
I give this wine the magical 90 primarily out of interest (vs hedonism). Upon opening (and for the first 2 hours) lots of minerality with some fruit (overlaid as lake.vino put it), after that smoother and a but more integrated (but less interesting).

No formal note, but this bottle is drinking much more like the one from 8/15/2013 than the one from last month. The previous bottle may have been flawed... or at least, more flawed than it's suppose to be, as these wines certainly seem to have some bacterial component to them, much of which appears intentional. So, in any case, bottle variation for sure.

This bottle was just horrible. The last bottle was funky upon opening, but some of that blew off. This remained basically undrinkable (bret and other bacterial tasting nasties throughout). I gave it some time in the bottle, but like most La Grange aux Belles bottles, coming back to it on day two was even worse, and it went down the drain. Hope my last bottle isn't as bad, but I'll find out soon.

A little acidic on first opening but it mellowed out over an evening, relatively light/ Did not score highly with my wife who thought it too watery.
