  • Drinking really nicely here. Soft decanting or slow ox is helpful.

  • Just an absolutely lovely wine. Will continue to buy it as much as they allocate. Love where this is at currently: tobacco, leather, herbs, minerals, and a nice salty savory quality.

  • Deep dark juice, Nose of cigar smoke and cedar. Cabernet forward, wet stone, dark berry. Medium bodied, lovely. Would buy again

  • Deep ruby garnet edges, so many aromas and flavors: cured meats, green olives, toasted vanilla, strong oak, blueberry, dark fruits, elderberry, dark stone fruits, savory, minerality, dark chocolate, baking spices, smoke and spice, rich volcanic soil. Love this, a lot of sediment. I began drinking 2 hours after decant and it continued to evolve for 5 hours. The body is velvety and milky, cigar smoke, savory green olive, dark chocolate, cigar smoke, deep dark fruits that are almost jammy in chewy all brought together with nice soft tannins. So many layers it comes in waves, this is an amazing wine that brings a little bit of everything.

  • Really nice wine here. Certainly not at the end of its drinking window but I’m not sure she will meaningfully benefit the wine unless you prefer austere fruit and tertiary flavors predominate on the palate. That said I think this wine drinks as it is for other two years. I’m not rushing though my last four bottles.

Opened as a PnP but could have decanted. Drank over three hours in large glasses for lots of slow ox and the wine really developed and showed at about two hours. For first hour it was a little linear and a little hot, which at first I thought was alcohol but given the softening and relaxing I actually think was some right oak tannins.
