Great deal at $10. Primarily red fruits with a hint of black pepper. Nicely balanced with just enough acidity to be crisp but not tart. Very smooth. Medium to light body and medium finish.

Dinner at Home (Fremont, CA): Pale ruby color; quite a nice nose with spice, red fruits; palate is light bodied, fruity, spicy, short length, flattens out through the midpalate; finish is short. This is still an excellent value and better than some other vintages that I’ve tried, well made in a balanced new world style. 87

I've never tried a Mcmanis wine I didn't like and this is no exception. You're hard pressed to find a better pinot at $10. However, recognize that you're getting very straightforward cherry flavor with very muted wood notes.

Long legs. Oak, wet grass and hay. Very earthy on the nose after 30 minutes open. Pepper, light tannins on the palate with lingering fruit and spice.
