  • Beautiful dark purple, fantastic nose that is ripe but not overripe fruit. No brown at the edges surprisingly. Very well balanced. No tanin. I see the drinking window has passed in 2016 based on cellar tracker. I pulled this out tonight with steak. I tasted immediately and there seemed to be some overripe fruit and I thought it might die after a few minutes. After an hour in the decanter it was thriving. I doubt more time in the bottle will improve this, so I recommend finding a time to enjoy this soon as it is IMHO at it’s peak and not over the hill. enjoy!

  • Bouquet is black plum, raspberry, olive, dusty potting soil, poutporri.

Palate is dark chocolate, blackberry, and a touch of anise. Doesn't seem super complicated, but it is delicious. Tannins are resolved and acid is medium. Wife said this reminds her of a Pinot and that honestly makes sense, minus the dark fruit profile. Finish is lasting upwards of 45 seconds with that bitter dark chocolate note lingering.

  • Nice but lacks the fruit and intensity . . Similar to my notes of 2015. Not with the price paid but bought through wine club at the time. Somewhat disappointed.

  • Classic ...mostly red fruit....good complexity and finish. Ready after and hour or 2. This is meant to drink now and the next few years....

  • well kept bottle. deep dark purple. aromas of soil, charred coffee beans, chocolate, vanilla pod, berries. on the palate full bodied, very smooth tannins just gliding through the palate. More characteristics of blackcurrant, blueberries, vanilla, spice, mocha, violets and orange peel at the back. oak maybe pushing it a little but overall good balance and precision. long finish. enjoyed this. will hold for another 5-10 years i'm sure. unfortunately my only bottle
