  this is really delish, very big and dark, jammed with fruit and enough acid to stand up to a fresh lasagna, i loved it and the 15% alcohol was hidden behind the wall of fruit (and i am sensitive to alcohol)…. very pleased with the long ago purchase and i think the wine will last another 5 years out of a cold cellar. however, while very concentrated, i’d be careful of the alcohol

  Middels dyp, klar rød, ingen tegn til modning. Herlig duft av søte, mørke bær i retning moreller og jordbær. Svakt utviklet. Godt og fyldig anslag. Deilig, sødmefullt bærpreg. God konsentrasjon, flott ren frukt, beskjeden tanninstruktur og middels syre. Varm og alkoholrik (15 %!), men det skjemmer ikke. Lang smak med søtlige bærtoner i ettersmaken. 90-91 p.

  This blew me away...balance, depth, and complexity that i didn't think was possible in a Barbera...the 15% abv isn't noticeable other than some slight legs in the glass...this is still a little tight on the nose but palate is amazing. Good but not dominant acidity, fruit is there but way in the background...at times it made me think of a mature, high-end Northern Rhone. This is not too young but with a long life still ahead. i bought 3 of these recently from an ex-cellar release and am kicking myself for not buying more.
  
  based on this showing i won't be touching the recent vintages i have for 10+ years

  This was fresh and vibrant on nose and palette. It needed some air but after an hour or so it opened up.
