This wine has really come around. Same notes as before, but the tartness has faded, giving way to a wine that has started to show more smoothness and sophistication. It still has some way to go to reach its full potential, yet, alas, this is my last bottle. 90+

Much creaminess on the nose initially, with aromas of melted white chocolate first and then some blueberry and dark cherries. On the palate, more dark cherry, some plum, dark chocolate, and chalky minerals, followed by some tartness on the finish. The oak is actually rather well integrated, yet I feel it could use a bit more cellar time, just to round out the edges a bit more. With food, this wine has the acidity to stand up to the thickest piece of meat. Alone, it tends to overwhelm the palate with its tart intensity. 89+ points.

Not as good as last year. Pretty spicy with too much pepper.
But mellowed after being in the glass a while.
Steffi liked.
